Fujitsu announces ScanSnap Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard Update for ScanSnap S1500M, S300M, S510M, and S500M. Updating select ScanSnap models listed above is a two part process. Software Downloads: ScanSnap S510. Powers up fine, and worked when last hooked up. Do not use currency symbols or punctuation in these fields. Use of Carrier sheet permits the scanning of A3, B4, double letter and photographs as well as those scansnap color image scanner s510 above.

The earlier post suggested using software for the ScanSnap s1500 for Sierra compatibility. That machine is no longer supported. The best solution is to use the ScanSnap Manager software for the newer ix500. I have both this scanner (at work) and an older s510 (home). The ix500 software works great for both and is seamless when I bring my macbook Air back and forth between work and home.

Do NOT try to install the new ScanSnap Home software! It does not support the older scanners, only the ix500.
