Does anyone have experience using Capture with the new Midas M32? I am using the USB output into my macbook pro and do not see the M32 as an available audio device. I believe that the console is configured properly since I am able to record all channels into the demo version of Studio1 without issue.
Does Capture only work with PreSonus consoles or do I need to purchase a Studio1 license to get it to work?

An ASIO TM and WDM compatible driver is available for Windows computers. Standard MIDI control is tunnelled over the USB and network connections, this can be mapped to the faders of your favourite DAW using the A&H MIDI Control app which provides easy setup and emulation of HUI or Mackie Control protocols on Mac OS X and Windows systems. The Midas M32 console seems to come standard with a Klark-Teknik DN32 USB card. When configured in the console, the card can provide pre-fade direct outputs for each of the 32 input channels. When connected to my 2008 MacBook Pro running 10.8.5 and Pro Tools 11.3 the Playback Engine DN32-USB becomes available to Pro Tools allowing recording of.

Yes. Capture is a stripped down version of Studio one, and it can only see Firestudio devices. Studio One can see any ASIO compliant device.

Thanks for the clarification on that. I was finding many conflicting posts about the x32 working with it yet none on the M32.
So far, Studio 1 is working well for my needs (live multi-track recording). I have yet to record an entire set (1.5 - 2hrs) of continuous tracking. My hopes are that the demand it is not too heavy on my laptop and that S1 won't 'crap out' half way through a show!
Thanks again.

Stress test it before the show at home/office if you can. It doesn't matter if you are recording actual audio. Set up everything as you would for the show (no need for mics, just the board, pc, and daw). Arm all your tracks, hit record, and let it go for a couple hours.
If it throws up an error, try and use LatencyMon to get to the root of the problem. Same thing with that (minus daw and recording). Set up the board, connect to pc, and let LatencyMon run for a while. Should give you some feedback on the issues on your system.

There was a 'bug' in capture at some point of time where it would interface with many multichannel audio interfaces even though it wasn't supposed to.
S1 works great but e.g. Reaper can record to multiple disks and have a great price tag. Wave live tracks is a brand new free software based upon ardour for simple multitracking.

Follow up:
I have successfully recorded 16+ tracks for 1.5 + Hrs without fault over a few different rehearsal sessions using S1. Thanks for all the great feedback! Looks like S1 is quite stable so far, even with my older laptop.
