The SAM4s SPS-2000 is no longer made however we offer the new and improved replacement which is the SAP-6600 with SAM4pos. We still service and support the 2000 and parts will be available for years still.
Although the SPS-2000 systems looks like a computer it is not. This system is a cash register with a touch screen and has many advantages over PC systems. Because it is a cash register and not a computer it has no hard drive, no OS to worry about and more. All of these factors leads the SAM4s SPS-2000 POS system to be far more durable than a PC Based Point of Sale System. We have customers still using this system when we installed it ten years ago. No Single Point of Failure
The SAM4S SPS-2000 is equipped with the most sophisticated, terminal-redundant network on the market. Using the integrated high-speed Ethernet, all system information is replicated on every terminal across the TCP/IP network. If a terminal is removed from the LAN, all information is automatically synchronized when the terminal reenters the network.
