This is a great little controller! They say it’s for begginers but I started out DJing in the late 90’s with 2 Technic 1200’s and carrying crates of vinyl. I sold all my old dj gear and stopped going to clubs and got more into music production but now got the itch again just to just mess around and do some mixes. I wont use it too much so didnt need something too expensive and fancy but this thing actualy has a lot of features! I use this with Djay pro which intergarates Spotify. Some claim it isnt compatible but it is, its just not mapped out by default yet so you have to do it yourself and it works great. I’m sure Algoriddim will officially have it fine tuned soon but again it does work. I have this connected with a 2016 version Macbook Pro and Rokit 6 studio monitors with no sound or humming issues if you’re curious. 5 Stars!! Highly recommend!review image

Don't forget if your iPhone has a lightening port you will need and adaptor to make this work! Customer service at Pioneer were super helpful pointing me in the right direction.If you have Spotify, you need to use a different app to make this work on your phone and its pretty different from the original app that works with Beatport and Soundcloud. Way less functions and really clunky. I'm contemplating redoing all my playlists on Soundcloud but to access most songs you need to buy a subscription which isn't ideal..

I actually have the SR, but wanted to weigh-in on the product. I do a little DJing for fun and hopefully will get some gigs in the future, but not committed to promoting at the moment. The SR2 is the mid-level controller in the pioneer line-up. DJ TLM calls it the 'prosumer' model. Good enough to take to a night club, wedding or party gig, while still being an excellent, have fun consumer product. The heftier price tag is for the added bells and whistles upgrade from the SB(edited, see below). This controller comes with the full version of Serato DJ Pro with the added Pitch n' time module. If you are just starting to mix, you might want to grab a SB for the cheaper price(see if you actually like DJing). But if you have the coin and want to start off with a controller to grow into as you gain experience in mixing and beatmatching, this will do that. [Update]I believe the SR2 is for Serato, not Rekordbox(Virtual DJ and other Dj software can probably be MIDI-mapped to it). A solid controller that will last a long time if you take care of it.
